Tänään haluaisin puhua hyvästä ja armollisesta kohtelusta itseään ja muita kohtaan. Jokainen on juuri sellainen kuin on, ja hyvä niin!

Olen oikeastaan koko ikäni saanut enemmän tai vähemmän kuulla ikäviä kommentteja itsestäni. Olen sen verran herkkä, että olen ottanut kaiken hyvin henkilökohtaisesti, vaikka aina ei tosiaankaan olisi pitänyt. Etenkin lapsena. Tämä on huonontanut itsetuntoani valtavasti. Olen saanut kuulla millainen minun pitäisi olla. Tai millainen en saa olla. Mun täytyy puhua. En saa olla ujo ja hiljainen. Mun täytyy olla sosiaalinen ja puhelias. En saa jännittää uusia tilanteita. Täytyy tukahduttaa oma luontainen luonteeni ja muuttua sellaiseksi kuin muut minusta haluavat saada. Suomalaiseen yhteiskuntaan sopivaksi. Muuten minusta ei ole nykypäiväiseksi 2010 -luvun ihmiseksi.

Ulkomaita kiertäessäni olen kuitenkin saanut hirmuisesti varmuutta. Vuoden 2016 alussa lähdin Englantiin Au Pairiksi. Vaikka kokemus kesti vain kuusi viikkoa, opin valtavasti kohteliaisuutta ja ystävällisyyttä, siellä päin kun hyvät tavat ovat enemmän sääntö kuin poikkeus. Opin hymyilemään muille enemmän, opin sanomaan enemmän kohteliaisuuksia. Ja sain sitä myös itse osakseni. Tajusin, että mitä enemmän teemme hyviä asioita toisillemme (tai itsellemme) , sitä enemmän saamme sitä myös lisää. Tulen iloiseksi kun saan avata jollekin oven, ehkä hän kiittää ja hymyilee. On kivaa kehua jonkun ulkonäköä ja toivottavasti parantaa hänen päiväänsä. Miksi ihmiset eivät voisi olla enemmän kannustavia ja kohteliaita toisilleen? Ketään toista ei voi muuttaa, miksi edes yrittää? Keskitytään enemmin niihin hyviin puoliin. Ilkeät lauseet vain latistavat mieltä.

Kaikista ei tarvitse tykätä. Mutta onneksi voit valita seurasi itse. Ja olla asiallinen myös heitä kohtaan, joista et ehkä pidä.

Muistakaa myös, ettei itseäänkään pidä millään tapaa vähätellä. Joudut elämään itsesi kanssa koko elämäsi ajan. On siis tärkeää , että tykkäät itsestäsi. Itse opettelen tätä taitoa, tarvitsen vain paljon aikaa, kärsivällksyyttä ja tukea.
